What you can do

  • Become a member of the Mitchell River Watershed Management Group and get involved with community based catchment management activities.
  • Reduce, reuse recycle. We can all cut down on the amount of waste we produce.
  • Use less water, turn off taps, design your garden with native plants that require less water. Water is one of our most precious resources.
  • Use phosphate free washing powders, which help our rivers.
  • Shop carefully, choose products, which last longer or can be refilled. Helps to reduce landfill.
  • Encourage your kids to get involved! After all they are the future of our planet.
  • Let us know if a particular natural resource management issue concerns you.
